BACK VOLLEY – PLAYS BY MARTITA ORTEGA

As we have been reviewing, do the volley in the back can be a solution for many problems that arise when it comes to defend comfortably, therefore, we add more plays where the back volley is key to neutralize and/or control the opponent.

Play 1: Back volley chiquita.

In this play, to choose the volley chiquita is, in first place, to force the opponent plays down the net. If we think it through, we cannot attack from there, that is, we will get a ball with a shot upward and, thereby, it will be easier for us. After that, we will have to choose correctly if we must move forward or to choose a shot that allows us to win the net with that shot.

Play 2: Stable back volley.

The difference with the above mentioned is that here, we want to surprise our opponent to hit late or to continue attacking with a more difficult ball. If we see the video, the player on the right is close by the net, so, the chiquita is not a good option, thereby, Marta chooses the steady to cause a bad shot from the opponent.

I hope you implement it and if you have any doubts, you can write below in the comments.

Greetings!
